What Purpose Does Your Website Serve?

What Purpose Does Your Website Serve?

For many companies like us, the primary way people hear about our business is through word of mouth/organically. What people tend to do right off the bat is check our our website to get a feel for who we area and the types of products we produce. The bottom line is, without having that foundation to send people to or for them to find through search engines, opportunities are lost. The purpose of your website isn’t just for one thing or another; it serves a greater purpose in terms of the visibility & the trustworthiness of your brand.

Greg goes over the purpose of your website and the many different functions it can serve for growing your business in today’s Trinity Web Minute, check it out below.

Hey, everyone, thanks for checking out another bonus episode of the new Marketing Show catching us on Instagram TV, we appreciate you. Today I want to talk about what purpose your website serves for your business or your product, service or brand.

So, you know, for a company like us, a lot of people hear about us from word of mouth, and then they go to our website to kind of vet us and make sure that we know what we’re talking about, that we’re reputable people and businesses good standing, and that we can actually help them.

So they find us sort of through the backdoor. That’s awesome. Another way people use your website is through the search engines, you know, if you have a content marketing, or search a music. What they’re going to do, they’re going to search for keywords and key phrases, and they’re going to end up finding your business. That’s why it’s important to have your SEO dialed in.

Now, the fact of the matter is, more people will come to your website and use your website as a brochure and find out about you from somebody else versus finding out from you search. That’s just the fact. And you know, that’s the playing field that we’re always trying to level to get a competitive advantage.

So when you can use your website as a good search vehicle, and let people find you from keywords, that’s when you’re gonna start doing business with people that are just introduced to your company. Now sometimes that sales cycle, that business development cycle is a little bit longer.

But in the end, what you’re doing is you’re exposing your product service and brand to a whole new sphere of influence, so that you can go ahead and work with very, very different people than, you know, referral type people.

Two things to keep in mind, always one, your website is an extension of you and all the efforts that you do collectively and to your website is a vehicle for people to be introduced to you from without ever hearing of you. When you keep that in mind, you’re going to really be able to develop a site development WordPress site and create a presence that works for your brand.

So thanks for checking us out. Thanks for listening. Thanks for watching, and you can get more podcasts at Trinitywebmedia.com/Apple-podcast. Talk to you soon.

What our clients say…

While I’ve known Greg for years from our time together in the marketing scene, I’ve only recently had the chance to work with Trinity Web Media on a client project. Not only was the team professional and their work spot on, they were amazingly quick to respond and required very little hand-holding along the way. I chalk that up to their past experience and a deep understanding of best-in-class services.

What our clients say…

I have hired Greg and the Trinity team multiple times for work on my own websites, and have also hired them to work on behalf of multiple clients. He is simply a pleasure to work with, in every respect. Smart but without the giant ego of some developers, Trinity Web Media works with his clients to achieve their vision in the best way possible — with careful attention to their interests, and thoughtful recommendations based on his expertise. • Susan Baier – Founding Marketing Strategist – Audience Audit
