Planning for the Holidays

October 3, 2019 by Nate Baldwin

Planning for the Holidays

Sure, it’s only October, but planning for the holidays needs to be done sooner rather then later. You could be gearing up for a Black Friday push or maybe a Giving Tuesday campaign, either way, the best time to start planning is now. As we’ve become more involved with non-profit organizations, our team has learned the importance of getting in front of things early. With so much noise going on through the holidays, it’s hard to stand out. The earlier you are to begin planning for the holidays, the better.

Hey everyone thanks for checking out another bonus episode of the new market show catches on us on Instagram TV, YouTube, where we’re getting this content. We definitely appreciate it. Today, we’re going to talk about the holidays. I know it’s early. I know the Fall is just starting. But now’s the time to get your holiday plan in place. Whether your holiday plan includes Giving Tuesday, whether your holiday plan includes an annual appeal, maybe for nonprofits, or if your annual or if your holiday plans include selling merchandise around you know, on Black Friday or Cyber Monday and then tapping into the holiday season throughout December. Now’s the time for you to get your strategy in order and start planning for the holidays.

Again, everything starts with a strategy. So start with a strategy. Make sure that you test your strategy. So I would test things on a smaller scale test set your landing pages, make sure that they convert well make sure that the buttons resonate with people with a call to actions in their place in the right places. Make sure that you have a retargeting strategy in place.

So that when somebody comes in and then all by what happens to them then or they serve more as Do you have exit intent on some of these pages, these are all things to be thinking about. These are all things that are super important. And they’re all things that are going to make or break the success of your campaign. Now, I know I’m coming to you really early. It’s October and nobody wants to hear about holidays right now. But if you take some time now, you’re not going to be running around crazy. The week before Thanksgiving. You know, last year, we embarked on a Giving Tuesday campaign. We started it at Halloween. And Giving Tuesday was three and a half weeks away. You know, I would love to had another six weeks or four weeks to make that happen.

So this year, we’re reaching out to everybody early, get things in place early, test them, make sure your strategy is on point and see what we can do for some a be testing see what you can do early on in the game to make sure that you are going to see the results and see success that you want.
