Tools to Speed Up Your Website

It’s crucial to stay on top of the speed of your site since the speed affects many aspects of your online presence. Whether you’re considering Google rankings or your user’s experience, knowing the tools to speed up your website should be at the top of your priorities.

We recommend using a couple of different tools such as GT Metrix to make sure you can account for what might be slowing your website down. This way you can use the appropriate plugin or your own methodology to eliminate the problem at hand. Tune in to this week’s Trinity Web Minute to learn more about tools to how to speed up your website.

Hey everyone, thanks for checking out another bonus episode of The New Marketing Show getting us on Instagram TV you to our blog wherever you’re getting this content. So one of the things that we feel are really important to set to begin a good user experience is making sure that your site is fast, and gives the audience exactly what it needs in a quick amount of time.

So, one of the couple of ways that we measure things is, of course, we use GT metrics at GTmetrix.com. You can measure your site speed there, and you can see exactly what’s wrong with it.

Do you need to modify your CSS or do you need to condense some of your JavaScript? Do you need to go ahead and enable better browser caching? The other tool that we like to use is Page Speed insights from Google.

If you go to that, what it’s going to tell you is how fast it renders on mobile and on desktop. Now, you’re going to see two very, very different speeds. So what they’re going to do is they’re going to give you tips so that you can optimize speed using different WordPress caching plugins or using different WordPress, modify plugins, getting a good host. And what you’re going to do then is it’s going to tell you exactly how to fix things.

Maybe you’re using images that are just so big, that you know, maybe a phone can handle it over a cell connection, or they’re not they don’t render properly because of the CSS. It is going to point you in the right direction to make sure that your site is performing in a manner that’s going to get your audience in, get them what they need, and hopefully have them convert into a customer or client or part of your community.

Hey, thanks for watching. For more on this, you can always get more episodes of the new Marketing Show at Trinitywebmedia.com/iTunes.

What our clients say…

While I’ve known Greg for years from our time together in the marketing scene, I’ve only recently had the chance to work with Trinity Web Media on a client project. Not only was the team professional and their work spot on, they were amazingly quick to respond and required very little hand-holding along the way. I chalk that up to their past experience and a deep understanding of best-in-class services.

What our clients say…

I have hired Greg and the Trinity team multiple times for work on my own websites, and have also hired them to work on behalf of multiple clients. He is simply a pleasure to work with, in every respect. Smart but without the giant ego of some developers, Trinity Web Media works with his clients to achieve their vision in the best way possible — with careful attention to their interests, and thoughtful recommendations based on his expertise. • Susan Baier – Founding Marketing Strategist – Audience Audit
