Taking Time to Evaluate Your Business

April 9, 2020 by Nate Baldwin

Taking Time to Evaluate Your Business

If you’re fortunate enough to be able to take a pause from your business, do it. Taking time to evaluate how your team is performing and how your company is providing value is a crucial part of growth.

Without taking the time to review how your business operates, determining your strengths and weaknesses becomes troublesome.

With so much spare time, why not look over the current status of your business? Come out of quarantine stronger than you ever were!

Hey everyone, welcome to another bonus episode of the New Marketing Show, catch us on Instagram, TV, YouTube, on our website, all that good stuff.

So, you know, in the midst of everything that’s going on, you know, I had a thought that this is a great time for those of us who have the luxury to have a pause.

Sit, evaluate our businesses, what we’re doing, how valuable we are, how we are providing value constantly, how we demonstrate the value, how we are doing business and how we work with our customers, how we work with our clients, how we work with their clients, how everything just kind of falls into place. It’s really, really interesting time.

You know, through this whole hiatus of business if you want to say you know, we’ve lost one or two clients because there’s just no need for outside development or outside you know, marketing firm going on, and we expect that we’ve planned for that, and which is fine, but at the same time, like, when you evaluate things, what kind of impact? You know, are we making? What kind of impact? Are we, you know, making on our clients? How are we affecting change? How are we structured? You know, what services are you offering that are still relevant, what services are no longer relevant?

You know, there’s a lot of whole uncertainty out there. But to take this into a positive light, I think what we can all do is, you know, hit a pause and say, Okay, how can we come out of this leaner? How can we come out of this more structured and how can we come out of this more focus?

How can we come out of this in a manner that benefits our clients, our industry, our businesses, our employees, our families, and all of that, so it’s just time you know, for some reflection, time for some thought. definitely time to make sure that you’re working smart.

I think that a lot of things, some of the things we’re going to learn here is, many traditional industries are going to see that work can be done remote. All those jobs that people said could never work from home. Or, I could never let my employees work from home data. Right now you’re forced to have them work from home.

So that’s one big paradigm shift. You know, we’ve been lucky, you know, in our industry in our company that we’ve been dispersed since the beginning. So working, you know, remotely in our own offices, in our own environments, has never been a big game changer on us think that the way that we now have to look at things is how are we supporting those businesses that are now working remotely and kind of not as connected as they once were?

So a couple things to think about. hope everything’s going well for you guys. You know, if you have any questions when you evaluate your business, please drop us a line. We’re here to help. Talk soon.
