Having your site backed up both locally and by your hosting service is crucial to a development project’s lifespan. Whether you run into design complications or malware incidents, being prepared with backups makes all the difference.
We’ve run into some past issues with e-commerce sites that have been shut down due to faulty security. Fortunately, our team can step in and resolve the situation by initiating a backup of the site.
Don’t overlook this fundamental aspect of web design – it can make or break a client experience.

Hey everyone, thanks check it out in a bonus episode of new marketing show, catch us on YouTube, Instagram TV, all that great stuff. So today I want to talk about some very, very simple things that are gonna make your life so much better when it comes to your website, one backups.
So a lot of hosts go ahead and they do incremental backups. And you can usually tell them what to have the frequency, and they’ll save one or two on hand for you. That’s great. The other thing that you want to do is you want to do your own backups, you want to have local backups.
That way, you don’t have to wait to file a support ticket. You don’t have to wait anything should something go wrong with your site. The second thing that work we’re going to get back to backups is make sure that you have some kind of security system on your site.
A lot of people use wordfence. I’m a big fan of security. What happens then if there’s any type of SQL injection which is like a malware attack or if there’s anything funky going on with any of your sights and you think it’s something suspicious is happening when the security system is going to catch it quicker, and a security system is going to make sure that you have what you need to either quarantine the threat or have them take care of it. And to sometimes it is easier just to roll your site back to a predetermined date that you already know.
Now, we were in a situation yesterday where there was attack, we had a backup that was less than a week old, but I also had one that was a month old. So we can go ahead and we have two points of we have two restore points to make sure that everything is okay.
Now listen, if we didn’t have that we would be in big trouble and we will be scrambling to help the client. The client relies on this site. It’s an e commerce site like there’s so many new e commerce sites out there because of you know, everything that’s going on in the current reality of the world.
So back your site up often want to put some kind of threat system our threat of security system on your site to make sure that you are taking care of it all the time. And then three is don’t be dumb. Don’t use stupid passwords, don’t use same passwords over and over. Change database passwords, you know, mix them all. You know, mix up your user passwords, all that great stuff.
So hey, thanks checking us out. Thanks for watching. Take care yourselves.
