THREE Facebook Ads Targeting Tips
• Target people who like your page and friends of people who like your page. This seems like a simple one, but so many people do not target the friends of people who like your business page. This is Social Media Marketing 101.
• Target people who like your direct competitors page. With today’s Facebook newsfeed algorithm no one goes to brand’s pages anymore. Most business or marketing content is consumed through the Facebook newsfeed. This is a great opportunity to display your digital marketing message to people who are engaged with your industry and/or services.
• Target people who like complimentary services. What products and services are typically used with your products and services. If you are selling Grade A beef via subscription, it is a good idea to target people who like popular grill brands. (Make sense?)
BONUS TIP: Limit your ad spend at first and test. This step is important to ensure your copy and images resonate with the audience, plus this gives you a change to hone your audience and make sure we are talking to the right people.
