How To Create Good Content

September 11, 2019 by Kevin Eberle

How To Create Good Content

Creating good content is simple, but far from easy. There are a couple of things you need to learn to create good content that works for your company.

All content is not created equally. Some digital marketing professionals think that more is better, while others still adhere to less is more. Whichever schools of thought you adhere to, all WordPress Developers and Digital Marketing Companies will agree — good content is king.

Good Content

To create good content, you must understand three key things:

1) Know your subject matter
2) Know your audience
3) Understand your goals

How To Create Good Content

Know your subject matter and topics: It goes without saying, please know what you are talking about before pushing out your content to the world. The Internet (and the world) is full of noise. There is too much noise about “How to 10x blah blah blah” by people who never 10x’d anything. When you know what you are talking about, and cite what you do, you become a trusted authority. When you achieve trusted authority status — cherish it with every piece of content you produce.

Know your audience: This is where many digital marketing and content marketing teams fail. Not all content is attractive to everyone. When you understand your audience, you can figure out what tone, voice, and messaging resonated with which segment. You begin to understand what media works best, and where each piece of content should be broadcasted. When you know your audience, you can fine-tune content to reach more effectively.

Understanding your goals: Trinity Web Media always says, “You can’t change what you do not measure.” Measure everything with each piece of content. Know your average conversion rate. Know your traffic and what sources bring in the most traffic. Plus, it’s essential to understand the effectiveness of various media and broadcast strategies accomplish.

While digital marketing and web development trends always change — these three items will forever remain true. If your marketing team understands and lives by our three rules to create good content, you will gain an edge over the competition.

What our clients say…

Jay Baer

If you need to take your web/digital program to the next level, these are the guys to see. Fast, honest, innovative and totally on top of it. Highly recommended! • Jay Baer – NY Times Best-selling Author, Founder/President – Convince and Convert

What our clients say…

While I’ve known Greg for years from our time together in the marketing scene, I’ve only recently had the chance to work with Trinity Web Media on a client project. Not only was the team professional and their work spot on, they were amazingly quick to respond and required very little hand-holding along the way. I chalk that up to their past experience and a deep understanding of best-in-class services.

What our clients say…

I have hired Greg and the Trinity team multiple times for work on my own websites, and have also hired them to work on behalf of multiple clients. He is simply a pleasure to work with, in every respect. Smart but without the giant ego of some developers, Trinity Web Media works with his clients to achieve their vision in the best way possible — with careful attention to their interests, and thoughtful recommendations based on his expertise. • Susan Baier – Founding Marketing Strategist – Audience Audit
