One of the best aspects of being WordPress developers is the ability to have a clean handoff of sites to our clients. As you may know, many clients head into a project with the intention of behind completely hands-off; notably this is very rarely the case.
By providing your clients with the opportunity to take control & have a clean handoff, you are delivering immense value to your clients while also avoiding a headache further down the line.
Here at Trinity Web Media, we specialize in giving full access to our clients and allowing them to make the appropriate changes they see fit. With the introduction of Gutenberg, we also have the ability to train on clients a bit on interacting with the backend.
As a developer, one of your biggest fears may be handing off hard work to the sole access of your client. But, a clean handoff is one of the most important aspects of a successful website development company.

Hey, everyone, welcome to another bonus episode of the New Marketing Show. Today I want to talk about kind of a mindset of building a website, and how you hand it off to a client, some of the best practices. So a lot of times we encounter clients who say, I don’t want to do this, I don’t want to know how to update my website, I want you guys to do it, only to find out that eventually they do want to learn how to do it, and they do want to update the site themselves.
That’s the best part about WordPress, in my opinion. So everything you build and everything that I build, and everything Trinity web media buildings, has to be ready for a clean handoff to the client, so that they can update it in a way that they understand.
Now, with Gutenberg, and hopefully everybody is using Gutenberg and building sites with Gutenberg with Gutenberg. It’s easy to do with the proper explanation when the blocks and with a different block Gutenberg block structure.
If you’re custom coding a lot of stuff, I implore you to go back and look, see how you can make this you know sort of how you can standardize it through blocks or through the Gutenberg system or atomic blocks, whatever block system you’re using.
So thats what happens is it’s a clean handoff. because let me tell you, if you have a clean handoff in the beginning, it’s gonna save you tons and tons of time, going back and touching things that you haven’t worked on or that you’ve been finished working on for months and months.
So be prepared for clean handoffs, and believe me, it’s gonna save you a lot of headache and time. Hey, thanks for watching. Talk to you soon.
